DNV Generators for K-Wind in Korea

At Solé Advance, we have completed the installation of two 54 GTAC marine generating sets with DNV Type Approval Certification (TAC) for the K Wind, a newly built port service vessel in Korea. The vessel now relies on a certified and robust onboard power system designed to provide continuous and reliable electricity during port operations.

We coordinated the entire supply for the project, including both the generating sets and all required auxiliary components. The onboard integration was carried out by our authorised Solé service partner in Korea, JMP Network, who completed the installation following our technical guidelines and the standards expected in a professional marine environment. The exhaust system features a Centek Marine Vernalift water muffler, ensuring efficient gas management and silent operation.

Our engineering team selected the optimal configuration for the vessel’s operational needs, considering real power demand, certification requirements and the continuous-duty conditions typical of port service operations. We supported both the client and the installer throughout the entire process, from defining the system to providing technical supervision and ensuring a seamless commissioning.

This project reflects our commitment to delivering complete and certified marine power solutions, combining reliable equipment, professional integration and specialised technical support. At Solé Advance, we power the work behind every manoeuvre, keeping vessels operating safely and efficiently both at sea and in port.
