To meet the energy demands of this 40-metre yacht, the M/Y Caladan (SO’MAR), dedicated to luxury charter service, two Solé marine generator sets have been installed in parallel: an 85 GTC and a 68 GTC. This configuration ensures flexible and reliable load management on board, adapting to the vessel’s operational needs both underway and at berth.
The system includes dedicated power and control kits for parallel operation, along with a shore power connection kit that allows smooth switching between on-board generation and port supply. For optimal system performance, additional components have been installed, such as the exhaust manifold, water-gas separator, seacock, and water and fuel filters.
The installation was carried out by Tanajet, official Solé service partner in Barcelona, with commissioning supported on-site by the Solé technical team, who performed all necessary procedures to ensure a successful and reliable start-up.
With this upgrade, Caladan is fully equipped to deliver a premium charter experience throughout the summer season.
